This Late Harvest Zinfandel is bright and nimble on the palate. In the glass, it is deep dark ruby red color. Aromas of cola and fruit leather are inviting. On the palate, this wine softly presents sweet ripe plum, black cherry conserves and touches of hard spices. A welcome touch of acidity carries both aromas and flavors of this balanced and lovely wine. This wine is unusually flexible for its type and will offer a unique twist as an aperitif as well as in its more classic role as a dessert pairing with fruit based tarts and pastries or (of course!) chocolates.
