This Late Harvest Zinfandel is bright and nimble on the palate. In the glass, it is deep dark ruby red color. Aromas of cola and fruit leather are inviting. On the palate, this wine softly presents sweet ripe plum, black cherry conserves and touches of hard spices. A welcome touch of acidity carries both aromas and flavors of this balanced and lovely wine. This wine is unusually flexible for its type and will offer a unique twist as an aperitif as well as in its more classic role as a dessert pairing with fruit based tarts and pastries or (of course!) chocolates.

This wine opens with vivid tropical aromas of white flowers, ripe melon, and sweet citrus. The citrus and tropical characters extend onto the palate with ripe guava and crisp pink grapefruit, balanced by bright acidity and accented by a flinty vein of minerality.

This is a zesty wine that stands up well to shrimp, crab, grilled vegetables and is perfect for a cheese plate!

A lightly oaked Chardonnay from the Russell Vineyard. These vines were planted in 2000 by the founder of the winery, Tom Russell.

De Tierra’s extra virgin olive oil is an inviting golden green color with an intense nose that offers both fruity and peppery notes with Apple Smoked Bacon falvor. On the pallet, is begins with a bright grassy, almost herbal note that expands to a lightly fruity full bodied olive note in the mid-pallet finishes with distinct but balanced peppery notes. This is a very versatile oil. Sprinkle it over a freshly warmed baguette with a curl of Parmigianino-Reggiano, or gently toss it with field greens, then add a touch of aged balsamic vinegar, sprinkle with chopped pecans and finish with a few grinds of fresh black pepper for a simple yet elegant green salad.
